In commercial kitchens, ventilation problems are not limited to weak air extraction or declining performance. They can also become a direct risk to site safety and operational continuity. When grease and oil build up inside the exhaust duct and system components, fast and accurate intervention becomes an operational necessity, not just routine maintenance.
In this project, we at Cyberia carried out an on-site inspection for a restaurant in Kuwait that was experiencing a clear fault in its ventilation system. Our assessment revealed heavy grease and oil buildup inside the exhaust duct and around the related components, which required replacing the damaged fan and installing a new ALPA CEF-N fan with the necessary connections and fittings to restore extraction efficiency and improve the system’s reliability.
Project Details: Inspection, Diagnosis, and Ventilation Fan Replacement for a Restaurant in Kuwait
Project Type: On-site inspection + fault diagnosis + ventilation fan replacement
Location: Restaurant in Kuwait
Brand: ALPA CEF-N
Scope of Work: Inspection of the existing system + installation of a new CEF-N fan with its related connections
Work Carried Out by Our Team at Cyberia
- Conducted an on-site visit and full inspection of the existing ventilation system.
- Documented the effects of grease and oil buildup inside the exhaust duct and surrounding components.
- Removed the damaged old fan and its associated connection parts.
- Installed a new ALPA CEF-N centrifugal fan with an air shut-off damper.
- Completed all ventilation connections and structural fixing works on the roof.
- Tested the system and verified air extraction efficiency after operation.
Why Is Restaurant Ventilation Maintenance Essential for Safety and Operations?
Neglecting the cleaning and maintenance of a restaurant ventilation system does not only reduce performance, but also increases operational risks associated with grease and oil accumulation inside ducts and fans. The longer the issue is left untreated, the more difficult the intervention becomes and the higher the repair or replacement cost rises.
At Cyberia, we handle this type of case through an approach that begins with accurate diagnosis, followed by the right technical solution, and then recommendations for a regular maintenance plan that preserves system efficiency and reduces the likelihood of recurring failures. Installing a new fan improves extraction performance, but long-term reliability always depends on proper routine maintenance and correct system follow-up.
